Choosing the Best Recruitment Agency

Published on 7th March 2022 by InterEx Group

Let’s face it when you’re seeking a little help during the hiring process, how on earth do you find the best recruitment agency that’s going to understand your needs as a client, and give you the best results? It can go one of two ways; either you make the right decision which results in acquiring top tier talent without overspending, or you could end up in a worse position than when you started…out of time and out of pocket.

So what can help you figure out which recruitment agency is best?

1.) First things first, do your research. Are they a new company? Have they been in the business for years? Is there a high staff turnover? It’s important to understand where you stand with this, as it can become irritating when you can’t build a transparent relationship with one consultant. Our own team here at InterEx is incredibly stable with multiple teams covering different areas and locations- check out our Trustpilot reviews

2.) Once you have found a handful that you like, contact them. What is their telephone etiquette like? Are they polite? Helpful? Professional? This is when you must decide if this is the tone you want to represent you and your company.

3.) Now you’ve shortlisted the best recruitment agencies, why not test their marketing knowledge. Start off by asking about the particular industry, you will be able to tell straight away if they know what they are talking about. Next you can ask about rates and more specifically what type of results you are looking for within your market, at InterEx we specialise in four main areas: Cloud, Data, Microsoft and Security.

4.) Let’s get down to business, next to do is to agree on a rate and timeframe that works for you and your business. Handling the negotiation early on benefits everyone so you all know where you stand, this also puts the process in good stead encouraging a transparent business relationship going forward. InterEx guarantees strict deadlines as quick as 24 hours.

5.) If possible, meet your consultant face to face. This can be extremely beneficial to further build the business relationship and ensure that your needs are being acknowledged and understood. Although this may prove difficult if you are using an agency that isn’t local, or cannot travel due to COVID reasons etc. Here at InterEx we can offer video streaming software to initially discuss needs, and also to candidates throughout the hiring process on platforms such as Teams.
